The Ontario Power Authority is introducing a new Feed-In Tariff for commercial aggregators, called the CFIT (commercial feed-in-tariff) Program. The program is intended for micro-fit generation projects where the proponent has multiple projects, is not eligible for the microFIT program or needs to give its lender step in rights. The proposed price is 71.3 cents/kWh) for rooftop solar PV and 44.3 cents/kWh for ground-mounted solar PV. The program is open for comments until February 18, 2011.

Paul Manning is the principal at Manning Environmental Law and an Environmental Law Specialist, Certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada. He holds an LLM in Environmental Law, obtained Law Society accreditation in England as an expert in Planning Law, and he holds a Certificate in Carbon Finance from the University of Toronto. Paul has more than 20 years experience as an environmental lawyer. During that time he has dealt with most areas of environmental law for a diverse range of clients.

Paul is on the Executive Committee of the National Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association and on the Environmental Sub-Committee of the Ontario Energy Association. He speaks and writes regularly on environmental issues.
